Copper Gold Mining Project crushing, screening, grinding The Minto Mine is an open pit mining operation with conventional crushing, and flotation to produce copper concentrates with significant gold and silver credits.
HYDROMETALLURGICAL PRODUCTION OF COPPER FROM FLOTATION CONCENTRATES By J. R. Cobble,1 C. E. Jordan,2 and D. A. Rice3 has been used in the past to produce a solids and treated in a conventional solvent extraction
Oxide ore with a low copper content will be treated at a nominal throughput of 500000, t/year through a hybrid carbon-in-leach (CIL) plant to recover gold as bullion. Sulphide ores will be treated at a nominal throughput of 250,000 t/year through a conventional froth flotation plant to produce a copper-gold concentrate. A blockget price
The most important sulfide sources, the copper-cobalt ores of Congo (Kinshasa) and Zambia, are processed in the conventional manner to produce a copper-cobalt concentrate. This is then treated by flotation to separate a cobalt-rich concentrate for treatment in the cobalt circuit.
The invention utilizes a modified Peirce-Smith converter to smelt copper sulfide concentrates and to produce flue gases sufficiently high in SO 2 content to be useful for the production of sulfuric acid, thereby avoiding the usual air pollution associated with reverberatory smelting. Copper concentrates and flux are continuously fed above and onto the surface of a high grade copper matte
The Copper Mountain mine is a conventional open pit, truck and shovel operation. The mine has a 40 ktpd plant that utilizes a conventional crushing, grinding and flotation circuit to produce copper concentrates with gold and silver credits.
This report provides a perspective on the amount of water used by a conventional copper flotation plant, including the makeup water required to compensate for water losses. Much of the global supply of copper originates from mines that also produce byproduct molybdenum, but for simplicity, a single copper concentrate has been modeled for this

Flash flotation is the instantaneous flotation of fast floating valuable mineral particles from the grinding circuit to produce a suitable grade concentrate. A flash flotation cell recovers liberated valuable minerals in the cyclone underflow (recirculating load) before they return to the mill for further grinding.

Oct 20, 2020· This study outlines a 10,000-tonne-per-day, 12-year open pit operation, with a conventional mill and flotation process, producing copper, zinc and lead concentrates. These would be transferred by
Sep 01, 2020· Flotation concentrates are treated in smelter operations to produce blister copper, cast into anodes and electro-refined to produce high grade copper. Cobalt is lost to the slag in the furnace and can be recovered in a slag cleaning furnace or in specific cobalt recovery furnaces.
Jan 01, 2005· The conventional treatment of copper–gold concentrates involves smelting, converting, and electro-refining to produce a copper-cathode product. The conventional treatment of copper–gold concentrates does elicit some compelling reasons to seek an alternative hydrometallurgical process for the recovery of concentrate values.

In August, Trilogy announced the results of a feasibility study for Arctic. This study outlines a 10,000-tonne-per-day, 12-year open pit operation, with a conventional mill and flotation process, producing copper, zinc and lead concentrates. These would be transferred by truck to the Alaska railroad.
Test work showed that Malundwe will produce a concentrate grading 41%–45% copper and Chimiwungo is expected to produce a concentrate grading 28%–32% copper. Sulphide ore is processed on-site by conventional flotation to produce copper concentrates for shipment to off-site smelters. Concentrates are smelted and refined into metal at smelters.
Concentrate grades: o. 33-37% Copper with >93% recoveries . o. 12-15g/t Gold with >75% recoveries . o. 400-470g/t Silver with >83% recoveries • Low levels of impurities in concentrate • Principal copper mineral is chalcocite • Optimum processing route is via conventional flotation to produce a clean, high grade copper-gold-silver concentrate
flotation testing, with back-up quantitative mineralogy to confirm the validity of the conceptual flow sheet. Detailed chemical assays were done on the copper concentrates. • Copper-gold breccia flow sheet development G&T: this was an extension of the flow sheet

The ore would then be treated at a concentrator facility, using conventional flotation, to produce separate zinc, lead and copper concentrates, with precious metal credits. The concentrates would be hauled to the port of Stewart in B.C. for export to Asian smelters. Although BMC has not yet signed offtake agreements, the company has prepared
